How this formula works

Mechanism one: Deep hydration beyond the surface

• Hydrolyzed Oligomeric Sodium Hyaluronate — ultra-low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (under 10,000 Daltons). Standard hyaluronic acid sits on the surface of the skin and moisturises the epidermis. At under 10,000 Daltons, this fragment penetrates through the epidermis to the basal layer — delivering hydration where the skin's own production originates. Additionally documented to have an anti-wrinkle effect that standard hyaluronic acid does not.
• Polyglutamic Acid — a fermentation-derived polymer with moisture retention capacity up to four times that of standard hyaluronic acid; forms a breathable film on the skin surface that prevents transepidermal water loss
• Sodium PCA — a natural component of the skin's own Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF); attracts and binds water molecules within the stratum corneum.
• Sodium Lactate — another NMF component; works with Sodium PCA to maintain the skin's natural hydration balance.
• Panthenol (Vitamin B5) — deeply penetrating humectant; supports barrier repair and reduces inflammation
• Aloe Barbadensis Gel — healing polysaccharides that deliver moisture below the epidermis and support the skin's repair mechanisms
• Rose Hydrosol — the base of this formula; replaces plain water with the condensed water produced during steam distillation of Bulgarian Damascus Rose; retains water-soluble rose compounds; anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.

Mechanism two: Cellular regeneration and anti-ageing

• Jellyfish Collagen Extract — a marine-derived collagen peptide with exceptional biocompatibility. In a laboratory study published in the Journal of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists of Korea, jellyfish collagen extract demonstrated moisturising and regenerative effects comparable to retinoic acid (RA) at the cellular level — stimulating filaggrin, hyaluronan synthase (HAS-3), and aquaporin expression — without the irritation, photosensitivity, or peeling associated with retinoid use. The preferred anti-ageing active for sensitive skin.
• Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu) — naturally present in human blood plasma; stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis; promotes skin repair and vascularisation.
• Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 — a signalling peptide that activates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin; works at the dermal level to rebuild the skin's structural matrix.
• Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 — inhibits the neuromuscular signals that cause repetitive facial contractions by mimicking a fragment of the SNARE protein complex, competing for position and reducing the frequency and intensity of muscle contraction signals. The result is a gradual reduction in the depth of expression lines — without injection, without toxicity, without permanent muscle paralysis. A gentler mechanism than Botox; requires consistent use to maintain effect.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Copper Tripeptide-1 form a complementary anti-ageing pair within this formula: one reduces the muscular contractions that create expression lines, the other stimulates the collagen synthesis that rebuilds what time has broken down.

Mechanism three: Antioxidant protection and anti-glycation

• Dunaliella Salina (Green Algae) Extract — an extremophile microalgae that survives in hypersaline environments by producing exceptionally high concentrations of beta-carotene; one of the most potent natural antioxidants available; neutralises free radical damage from UV and environmental stress
• Carnosine — a naturally occurring dipeptide that inhibits glycation — the process by which sugar molecules bind to skin proteins, causing the complexion to yellow, stiffen, and lose elasticity over time. One of the few topical ingredients with a documented anti-glycation mechanism.
• Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) — reduces oxidative stress; inhibits melanin transfer to skin cells; improves barrier function; reduces the appearance of enlarged pores and uneven tone.

Mechanism four: Microbiome and barrier support

• Inulin — a prebiotic derived from chicory root; feeds beneficial skin bacteria; supports a balanced microbiome that strengthens the skin's natural defence system
• Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide — a second prebiotic; works with Inulin to selectively support beneficial microbial populations on the skin surface.
• Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate — derived from licorice root; anti-inflammatory and soothing; reduces redness and irritation; supports barrier integrity.

Mechanism five: Preservation — clean and plant-derived

Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Caprylohydroxamic Acid — a multi-component preservation system selected for efficacy without the use of parabens or harsh synthetic preservatives.

How to use

Apply to clean skin morning and evening before facial oil or moisturiser. Warm a small amount between palms and press gently into skin. Allow to absorb fully before layering.
