Allergic Rhinitis Relieve Ointment
For the allergy that comes back every season.
Allergic rhinitis is an immune system problem, not a nasal problem.
When the immune system identifies a harmless substance — pollen, dust, animal dander — as a threat, it triggers a histamine response: inflammation, swelling, mucus production, itching. The nose is where the symptoms appear, but the mechanism is systemic.
This is why conventional treatments have limitations. Antihistamines suppress the response temporarily. Steroid sprays reduce inflammation but are not recommended for long-term use. Decongestant sprays work for 3–5 days before rebound congestion sets in. None of these addresses the immune system's underlying tendency to overreact.
This formula does not cure allergic rhinitis — no topical product can. What it does is provide multi-mechanism symptomatic relief through botanicals with documented antihistamine, anti-inflammatory, and decongestant properties, without the rebound effects or long-term concerns associated with pharmaceutical options.
It is designed to be used alongside — not instead of — medical treatment when needed.
Why an ointment
The formula is set in a coconut wax base rather than liquid oil. For nasal application specifically, this matters: a liquid would flow and dissipate immediately. The ointment stays where it is applied — inside the nasal cavity, on the bridge of the nose, between the eyebrows — releasing its active compounds gradually and continuously. The wax base also forms a light protective film that reduces direct contact between the nasal mucosa and airborne irritants.
How this formula works
Antihistamine action
- Blue Tansy (Tanacetum Annuum) Flower Oil — contains azulene, one of the most potent natural antihistamine compounds; directly counters the histamine-driven inflammatory response that causes nasal swelling, itching, and mucus production; its characteristic deep blue colour is the visual signature of high azulene concentration.
- Black Cumin (Nigella Sativa) Seed Oil — contains thymoquinone, documented in clinical research for its ability to modulate the immune system's response to allergens; reduces IgE-mediated hypersensitivity reactions; one of the most studied natural compounds for allergic conditions.
- Tamanu (Calophyllum Inophyllum) Oil — contains neoflavonoids with anti-inflammatory and antihistamine properties; soothes the nasal mucosa and reduces reactivity to irritants.
Decongestant and airway support
- Peppermint (Mentha Piperita) Oil — high in menthol; acts on cold receptors (TRPM8) in the nasal passage to create an immediate sensation of openness and easier breathing; mild decongestant effect through vasodilation.
- Bergamot Mint (Mentha Citrata) Herb Oil — gentler than peppermint; provides a softer decongestant note; anti-inflammatory and calming to the nasal mucosa
- Myrtle (Myrtus Communis) Leaf Oil — contains 1,8-cineole, a compound with documented mucolytic properties; helps thin and clear mucus from the nasal and sinus passages; traditionally used across Mediterranean and Middle Eastern medicine for respiratory conditions.
- Scots Pine (Pinus Sylvestris) Oil — contains alpha-pinene; opens the airways and supports respiratory function; anti-inflammatory and expectorant.
An honest note on allergies
Allergic rhinitis cannot be fully cured topically — because the problem is immunological, not local. The immune system's sensitivity to a specific allergen is a systemic condition that no ointment resolves at its root.
What this formula manages is the symptomatic load: reducing the intensity of the histamine response, clearing the nasal passage, and calming the mucosal inflammation that makes each exposure more uncomfortable than it needs to be. For many people, consistent use during allergy season meaningfully reduces their reliance on pharmaceutical antihistamines.
For acute or severe episodes, steroid therapy remains the most effective intervention. This product complements that approach — it does not replace it.
Who this is for
Adults and children aged 3 and above with seasonal or chronic allergic rhinitis. Those seeking a complementary approach to reduce antihistamine or steroid dependence. Those in high-allergen environments — dust, pet dander, mould, or pollen — who want continuous, low-level support between pharmaceutical doses.
How to use
Using a clean cotton swab, apply a small amount of ointment inside the nasal cavity. Apply a separate amount to the bridge of the nose and the space between the eyebrows; massage gently until absorbed. May be used multiple times daily.
For children aged 3 and above only. Not recommended for children under 3, or pregnant and breastfeeding women. For external use only — do not ingest. Avoid contact with the eyes. If symptoms are severe or persistent, consult a medical professional.
