Two products in the LOHAS HERBS bust care range serve different purposes. The Firming Lifting Bust Massage Oil is cosmetic — it addresses skin elasticity, firmness, and lift. This one is functional: it addresses the glandular and lymphatic tissue beneath the skin — the congestion, nodularity, and low-grade discomfort that many women experience but rarely discuss.

Breast tissue contains an extensive lymphatic network. When circulation is compromised — through prolonged bra wear, sedentary habits, hormonal fluctuation, or chronic low-grade inflammation — lymphatic fluid accumulates in the interstitial spaces. The result is a familiar but often unnamed sensation: heaviness, aching, tenderness that is not quite pain, and occasionally palpable nodularity in the tissue.

This formula was built around three mechanisms: dispersing stagnation, clearing the lymphatic pathway, and repairing the tissue once the congestion has moved.

How this formula works

Mechanism one: Disperse and dissolve

• Immortelle (Helichrysum Italicum) Flower Oil — contains italidiones, rare diketone compounds with an unmatched ability to dissolve haematomas, micro-fibrous deposits, and deep tissue stagnation. In breast care specifically, italidiones work to soften minor fibrous hardening within the glandular tissue — the physical correlate of chronic lymphatic congestion. The primary dispersing agent in this formula.
• Zdravetz (Geranium Macrorhizum) Oil — a rare Bulgarian botanical containing a high proportion of germacrone; strongly anti-inflammatory and anti-adhesive; helps to loosen tightened glandular tissue and prevent further stagnation from consolidating into harder deposits. Works alongside Immortelle to form the formula's core dispersing complex.
• Frankincense (Boswellia Carterii) Oil — resinous compounds with documented anti-inflammatory and mucosal repair properties; addresses the underlying inflammation that drives glandular congestion; activates cellular repair in tissue that has been chronically inflamed or compressed

Mechanism two: Clear the pathway

Once stagnation is dispersed, the waste products need a functioning lymphatic system to carry them away.

• Juniper Berry (Juniperus Communis) Oil — the most potent lymphatic stimulant in this formula; accelerates lymphatic drainage from the breast and axillary region; addresses the accumulated metabolic waste that produces the sensation of heaviness and aching; the primary clearing agent
• Geranium (Pelargonium Graveolens) Oil — supports circulatory return; works alongside Juniper to ensure that dispersed waste products are efficiently transported out of the local tissue rather than re-depositing elsewhere.

Mechanism three: Repair and stabilise

After dispersing and clearing, the tissue needs support to recover without over-reacting.

• Sandalwood New Caledonia (Santalum Austrocaledonicum) Oil — anti-inflammatory and lympho-tonic; prevents excessive inflammatory response in tissue that has just been mobilised; provides a calming, stabilising effect on the local glandular environment
• Borage Seed Oil (Borago Officinalis) — rich in GLA (gamma-linolenic acid); supports long-term hormonal balance through skin absorption; addresses the hormonal fluctuation that is often the root driver of chronic breast congestion; foundational to sustained tissue health rather than symptomatic relief alone.

The carrier base

• Crambe Abyssinica (Abyssinian) Seed Oil — penetration enhancer; its molecular structure mirrors the skin's natural sebum, allowing Immortelle and Frankincense to pass through the skin surface and reach the glandular tissue at depth.
• Apricot Kernel Oil (Prunus Armeniaca) — lightweight carrier; rapidly absorbed; nourishes the skin without occlusion
• Natural Vitamin E (Dl-α-Tocopherol) — antioxidant stability; protects the formula's bioactive compounds and supports tissue recovery

How to use

Apply a suitable amount to the chest and armpits, avoiding the areola. Massage gently using outward strokes toward the axillary lymph nodes — this is the primary drainage direction for breast lymphatic tissue. Use once daily in the evening, excluding during menstruation.
