Muscles & Joint Massage Oil
For pain that doesn't respond to rest alone.
Muscle and joint discomfort operates on two levels: the immediate sensation of pain, and the underlying inflammation that sustains it. Most topical pain relief products address the first — cooling or heating the surface to mask the signal. This formula was built to address both simultaneously, using essential oils selected for their pharmacological action at the tissue level.
This is a concentrated essential oil complex — not diluted in a carrier base. Every drop is active.
How this formula works
Four mechanisms working in parallel: anti-inflammatory action, circulatory stimulation, analgesic relief, and muscular release.
Anti-inflammatory
- Black Cumin (Nigella Sativa) Seed Oil — contains thymoquinone, one of the most studied natural anti-inflammatory compounds; inhibits inflammatory mediators at the cellular level; used in traditional medicine across the Middle East and South Asia for centuries for pain and inflammation.
- Balsam Copaiba (Copaifera Officinalis) Resin Oil — contains the highest known concentration of beta-caryophyllene among essential oils; beta-caryophyllene is a natural CB2 receptor agonist — meaning it interacts directly with the body's endocannabinoid system to modulate inflammation and pain response without psychoactive effects.
- Clove (Eugenia Caryophyllus) Flower Oil — contains eugenol, a well-documented natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory compound; acts as a mild local anaesthetic; one of the most potent natural pain-relief agents in clinical aromatherapy.
Circulatory stimulation
- Black Pepper (Piper Nigrum) Seed Oil — contains piperine; stimulates local blood flow and increases tissue perfusion; enhances the absorption and efficacy of other compounds in the formula.
- Ginger (Zingiber Officinale) Root Oil — promotes peripheral circulation; reduces inflammatory prostaglandins; particularly effective for chronic joint pain associated with reduced blood flow.
- Scots Pine (Pinus Sylvestris) Oil — supports adrenal function; stimulates circulation; traditionally used for rheumatic and muscular conditions.
Analgesic and cooling relief
- Wintergreen (Gaultheria Procumbens) Leaf Oil — contains up to 99% methyl salicylate, the compound from which aspirin was originally derived. Of all the ingredients in this formula, Wintergreen has the most direct pharmacological parallel to conventional pain medication — a natural COX inhibitor that reduces prostaglandin synthesis and delivers targeted analgesic action. Use with respect: effective in small amounts.
- Peppermint (Mentha Piperita) Oil — high in menthol; creates an immediate cooling sensation that interrupts the pain signal at the nerve surface; vasodilatory effect supports deeper penetration of other actives.
- Bergamot Mint (Mentha Citrata) Herb Oil — gentler than peppermint; anti-inflammatory and analgesic; provides a softer cooling note that complements rather than overwhelms
Muscular release and support
- Siberian Fir (Abies Sibirica) Needle Oil — rich in bornyl acetate; deeply relaxing to muscle tissue; traditionally used for respiratory and muscular conditions across Russian and Nordic folk medicine; supports the release of chronic muscular tension
- Laurel (Laurus Nobilis) Leaf Oil — analgesic and anti-neuralgic; supports the nervous system's response to chronic pain; has documented use in rheumatic and arthritic conditions.
Who this is for
Muscle fatigue after physical activity. Chronic joint discomfort from prolonged sitting, standing, or repetitive movement. Targeted relief for knees, shoulders, lower back, and neck. Conditions such as chronic arthritis, cervical fatigue, and lumbar strain, where pharmaceutical options are preferred to be minimised or complemented.
This oil is a complementary therapy — it does not replace medical treatment. For acute injuries, trauma, or persistent conditions, consult a medical professional.
How to use
Apply a small amount to the affected area. Massage gently in circular motions until absorbed.
For acute inflammation — apply and allow to absorb without heat. An ice compress may be applied within the first 24 hours of minor sprains.
For chronic pain — apply and follow with a warm compress or heat pad to drive deeper penetration.
Use 1–2 times daily, or as needed.
This is a concentrated essential oil complex. A small amount goes a long way. Patch test before first use. For external use only. Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
