Most people have a skincare routine. Almost nobody has a scalp care routine.

Yet the scalp is skin — the same organ, the same structure, the same biological needs. It has sebaceous glands, a lipid barrier, a microbiome, and follicles that respond to the same conditions of imbalance that affect the face. In Singapore's climate, it also carries an additional burden: permanent heat, humidity, and a layer of hair that traps sebum, sweat, and environmental pollutants against the skin surface all day.

The result is a scalp that is chronically under more stress than the face — and chronically under-treated.

This shampoo was developed with the same clinical framework as the LOHAS HERBS facial oil range. Not a hair product that happens to touch the scalp. A scalp treatment that also cleanses the hair.

How this formula works

Two systems working in parallel: deep scalp restoration and structural hair support.

Scalp restoration

• Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu) — naturally present in human blood plasma; a bioactive complex of three amino acids chelated with copper ions. Stimulates hair follicles from rest phase back into active growth phase; increases follicle size and hair density; promotes scalp vascularisation (VEGF), improving oxygen and nutrient delivery to the hair root. In clinical studies, its effect on follicle activation has been compared to low-concentration minoxidil — without the drug's side effects or dependency. The most clinically significant ingredient in this formula.
• Polygala Tenuifolia (Yuan Zhi) Root Extract — a botanical used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries; promotes scalp micro-circulation, improving blood flow to dormant or weakened follicles
• Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract — supports peripheral circulation; used in combination with Polygala Tenuifolia to form a dual botanical micro-circulation complex.
• Biotin — essential B-vitamin; supports keratin infrastructure and follicle metabolism; addresses deficiency-related thinning
• Nettle Root Extract (Urtica Dioica) — a well-documented DHT blocker; helps counter androgenic hair thinning at the follicle level.
• Henna Extract (Lawsonia Inermis) — traditionally used across South Asia and the Middle East for scalp health; antimicrobial and conditioning; strengthens the hair shaft from root.
• Portulaca Oleracea Extract — anti-inflammatory; soothes reactive or sensitised scalp; reduces redness and itch at the skin level
• Morus Alba (Mulberry) Root Extract — antioxidant and anti-inflammatory; supports an even, calm scalp environment

Structural hair support

• Hydrolyzed Keratin — restores the hair shaft's structural integrity by filling micro-damage along the cuticle; reduces breakage and improves tensile strength; restores natural bounce without coating or weighing down
• Arginine — an amino acid that supports the hair's internal protein structure; improves elasticity and moisture retention along the hair shaft
• Lecithin — a natural phospholipid; conditions the hair without silicone; supports the scalp's lipid barrier
• Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E) — antioxidant protection for both scalp and hair; neutralises free radical damage from UV and environmental exposure

The aromatic complex

Three essential oils selected for scalp function, not fragrance:

• Palmarosa — regulates sebaceous activity; antifungal and antibacterial; addresses the microbial imbalance that underlies dandruff and scalp congestion
• Geranium — balances sebum production; antimicrobial; supports the scalp's microbiome without disrupting it
• Lavender — calms inflammation and scalp reactivity; documented efficacy in supporting hair growth in alopecia areata studies

The cleansing base

Formulated without harsh sulphates. The surfactant system — Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Coco-Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine — removes excess sebum and impurities effectively without stripping the scalp's natural lipid barrier.

How to use

Dampen hair thoroughly. Apply and massage into the scalp — not just the hair — using fingertip pressure. Leave for 1–2 minutes to allow the actives to work. Rinse well. For best results, use consistently; scalp restoration is cumulative, not immediate.

Avoid contact with the eyes.
